Busy times.

Goodness, life sure gets busy if you let it. I've made that mistake lately, and have realized just where my limits are in terms of what I can realistically accomplish in a day. But interestingly, I've found if I make a specific choice to be productive and to limit non-essential work activities from creeping into my work time (facebook, livejournal, random other stuff), I can be up to 200% more productive.

Anyways, life is great! We're trying to pull together our animation project at school, which as of so far is going really well, despite the numerous schedule delays we've encountered. Some of the final scenes we've completed look great - really professional for our skill level. Hopefully things there finish up fast!

Erica and I had a fantastic weekend - I surprised her by going out to Machiavelli's downtown Seattle for some quality [and cheap!] italian food. Excellent food & service, though the restaurant was louder than a horde of orcs! :P Then, we saw Harry Potter in IMAX 3D. Very fun as well, especially the last 20 minutes of 3D special effects. One of the most thrilling shows I've seen since Disneyworld!

Saturday was a day to relax, and Sunday we went for a hike all the way up Mt. Si! Just like last year, it was a bit of a push, as it's quite literally almost 4 miles straight uphill, then 4 back downhill,.. but the view at the top is worth the climb! 270 degree views all over the mountains to the East, Snoqualmie & others to the West, and more beautiful mountains to the south. Decidedly an amazing hike, and even more fun to be with my beautiful girl! ;)

Well, that about sums it up for now. I'm excited for this weekend- a festive meeting-up of mine & Erica's families at her place in Olympia, which should allow for some fun family relaxation time together. I'll probably have more to say on that later on. For now, though, it's off to work again!

Today's song of the day could almost melt you into it and you would never notice - it's a sublime, smooth song from start to finish. Simply beautiful.

Song of the Day: Ferry Corsten ft. Elles de Graaf - Show you my World (Liquid Life remix)
