Summary: Pi can't get Ryo out of his head, and Ryo had troubles of his own. Jin is a crazy friend and Ueda comes into the scene??

They jankened their turns to the shower. Ryo was first, Jin second and Pi last.
Ryo disappeared into the bathroom and Pi settled uncomfortably on the couch as he watched Jin fixing himself a drink in the open kitchen.
“You want something Yamapi?” Jin yelled from the kitchen.
“Just water please.” Pi replied. He wasn’t that comfortable about letting more alcohol into his system, he didn’t want to fall into a daze and say or do all sorts of weird stuff or stuff he dare not let exposed.
Jin came over with his glass and sat beside Pi.
“It was a great day wasn’t it?” Jin smiled. He took a big gulp from his gin tonic and stretched himself, resting his legs on the table in front of the sofa.
Pi kind of mumbled something incoherent, because he didn’t know what to say to sound convincing to Jin. He was glad Jin dropped the matter and they both just laid back against the backrest and watched the late night goofy variety shows.
It wasn’t a long wait since Ryo was pretty quick, the bathroom door clicked and subconsciously both Jin and Pi turned to the way of the sound, Ryo came out in a navy blue bath robe and was wiping his dripping wet hair with a towel, he stopped in his track as he caught the stares of his two friends. Pi couldn’t move his eyes away, the wet strands of hair with dripping water drops spiked down Ryo’s forehead as he dried them, hovering over the deep orbs, the robe tied loosely around Ryo’s slim waist showing a bit above the sternum and his slender but muscular legs. His eyes quickly locked with those of Ryo’s as Ryo looked back at him one hand still dangling over his head with the towel, which had stopped shuffling as if frozen from the stare.
Jin looked between the Ryo and Yamapi and sneered. “Ok! My turn!” he pushed himself up from the couch and went pass Ryo to head to the bathroom, stopping beside Ryo to ruffle his wet hair whilst whispering into Ryo’s ear. “You’re blushing…”
Jin giggled as Ryo jumped from the words and the puff of wind in his ear and headed on his way.
Both Ryo and Yamapi were silent for a while after that. Somehow it had become uneasy for them to be alone without Jin to smoothen the atmosphere.
Ryo quietly and slowly motioned himself to the couch and sat down whilst pretending to be busy drying his hair, not daring to take another look at Pi, afraid that Pi would see how embarrassed he was.
Pi couldn’t help smile to himself, seeing how cute Ryo was.
“Let me dry your hair, you’re doing an awful job!” Pi snickered and put out his hand for Ryo to hand over his towel.
Ryo turned his head sideways and looked at Pi in surprise, but reluctantly handed over the towel anyways since he wasn’t sure what else he could do then, considering how his heart was beating all erratically. Pi smiled and took over the towel, then kneeled on the sofa and maneuvered Ryo to sit sideways, he slowly massaged Ryo’s scalp over the towel as he took in the scent of Ryo’s freshly washed hair.
Pi couldn’t be gladder that he had made such an offer, he didn’t know if he could actually sit beside Ryo without knowing if he should start a silly conversation or go into things he was longing to say. A position like this was perfect, they didn’t have to see each other but they were close enough for his liking. Pi slowly rubbed on Ryo’s scalp and gradually went to the lower hairline to massage Ryo’s neck and shoulders.
Ryo let out a confined moan when Pi squeezed his tight muscles over his shoulders. Having been working at the construction sites at night, combined with the lack of good quality sleep, Ryo’s muscles were constantly aching in pain. Ryo immediately covered up his mouth and turned out of Yamapi’s reach at the release of his embarrassing moan. “Ah… thanks Pi, I think I’m ok now…” he hoped Pi didn’t catch his burning face.
Yamapi almost froze at the enticing moan, and he didn’t fail to catch Ryo’s rosy blush either. He released his hands over Ryo and dropped himself on the couch. I’m in deep trouble…shit I’m so in deep trouble…
Ryo freed himself from the horribly uncomfortable atmosphere and excused himself back to the bedroom, right on time to meet Jin coming out from the bathroom. “Hey where’d you going?” Jin asked, “Aren’t we having some drinks or movies?” He called after Ryo, but there was no answer as Ryo hurried out of sight.
“What’s with Ryo?” Jin asked worryingly, totally not understanding the situation.
Pi just stood up and rushed to the bathroom himself. “Finally my turn!” He faked an exciting tone, and disappeared himself.
Yamapi made sure he took an awfully long time in the bathroom, hoping that when he came out, everyone was asleep already and they didn’t have to confront his feelings or weird behavior. He was almost sure Jin knew something about his crush on Ryo, Jin had in the end, knew him for more than half his life, and however baka Pi liked to describe him, Jin wouldn’t fail to notice if Pi fell for someone. He had always caught him in the past, and most probably had noticed him this time too, only that this time he was pretty unsure himself. Pi had never fallen for someone of his own gender and this was scaring himself as well, the feeling came out to be stronger than any other he had ever had on girls. Pi had thought that maybe going out on these outings with Jin and Ryo would give him ample opportunity to turn this crazy feeling into a normal male friendship, but it had only made everything worse. He had fallen so deep for Ryo and even if he dared, he didn’t want to frighten Ryo again by letting it show.
Pi slowly walked into the dimly lit bedroom, should I just sleep on the couch? Pi thought to himself, he hated the idea of letting Ryo and Jin sleep together though, though he knew they always did, and he welcomed the easiness it would bring to the rest of his night. As he was trying to turn away, Jin caught glimpse of him and yelled. “HEY YAMAPI! What are you doing by the door? Come over here!”
Being caught on spot, Pi warily walked to the big king size bed Jin and Ryo were already on, and sat on the edge when Jin patted the seat beside him.
“Let’s Janken on who’s sleeping where?” Jin said excitedly.
Pi couldn’t understand why Jin was so excited, they were not kids on sleepovers for god’s sake. He peeped over at Ryo and Ryo compliantly nodded his head and held his hand out where Jin’s was, ready to janken. Under not much choice, Pi held out his hand to join in the game.
When Jin said “Who’s sleeping where”, Pi had the idea that it meant something like maybe, one was sleeping on the floor, another on the couch and the winner on the bed that sort of arrangement, he was sorry he didn’t clarify before joining in, since he won the game, and realized it meant he was sleeping in the middle. Yes, in the middle of Jin’s king size bed right between Ryo and Jin. Ryo accepted the results convivially and crept to his own side where he usually slept, quickly resuming to his best sideways position with his back facing everyone. Jin on the other hand grumbled over losing and slacked to his side.
Great, just when I needed to lose.
Pi grumbled to himself, he wasn’t used to sleeping between 2 people, and he could anticipate this was going to become a sleepless night for him.
It was a blessing that Jin had eventually shut up after receiving no replies from anyone, eventually everyone was quiet and it seemed they were all asleep. Just when Pi thought he could shake off all his thoughts and close his eyes to rest himself, Jin’s phone vibrated and then a loud rang from one of his loud irritating ringtone.
“Eh? Now? Yay sure!” Pi overheard Jin replying.
He didn’t actually have to overhear actually, Jin made no effort to try to lower down his voice considering two people were sleeping there at 2am in the morning.
Jin sat up suddenly, and it was enough to wake both Ryo and Pi.
“Hey guys, sorry to leave you here, I have another round of adventure to go to!” Jin announced, and quickly jumped into his shirt and jeans and literally jumped out from his room, coming back in a second to spray on some cologne and leaving again.
“Don’t miss me! There’s everything you need in my drawer!” They heard Jin yell back to them, and then it was a loud slam of the front door.
Pi and Ryo exchanged glances and Pi felt his face warming up again and a rush of nervousness settling in his stomach. The room was dim so he couldn’t see clearly what Ryo was thinking but Jin’s instructions had gotten across to him pretty well and now he was forced to think of things he had tried to forbid himself to think about.
“Jyaa, let’s get back to bed.” Pi managed to say gingerly peeking sideways at Ryo.
Ryo nodded and laid down again and Pi did the same, shifting further away from his previous central position. Great, now this is much safer. He thought.
Pi unconsciously shifted too far their blanket started to tether and he felt Ryo pulling on the other end.
“Pi, are you rolling off the bed? Cause I’m losing my blanket on this end…” Ryo grumbled. They mutually moved closer to the centre till they accidentally touched.
A shock of electricity went down their spines as they did and they immediately bounced away again from the clash.
“ah…gomen…” Ryo said softly.
“No…I’m sorry.” Pi replied just as softly.
They were now lying side to side to each other at a comfortable distance of a few feet, it would be quite difficult to bump into each other now unless they stretch all fours.
“I’m sorry if I acted weird.” Pi continued. He meant it back from when he tried to kiss Ryo during their breakfast in the park but decided he didn’t have to point out the specifics.
Ryo mumbled something that was indiscernible and Pi thought maybe Ryo was already asleep.
He continued anyhow, hoping to get it out of his system. “You know, it’s kinda weird to myself too… but I…”
Pi turned his head sideways to peer at Ryo, aghast that Ryo had turned his way and starring right at him. “Eh…I…” Pi stuttered.
“Pi…” Ryo started again in his low and husky voice.
Pi curled his body sideways to face Ryo as well, the peace and quiet and the comfort of Jin’s big mattress and warmth of the fluffy duvet was like heaven right on earth. Pi leaned closer to hear what Ryo had to say. Thank god Ryo was taking over job at this awkward moment.
“Ne Pi… thank you for everything.” Ryo said in his voice scarcely above a whisper.
“I like you….. two… a lot…”
The breaks in between Ryo’s sentence almost gave Pi a heart attack.
“I like you a lot too.” Pi smiled. “And that Bakanishi too.”
A smile spread over Ryo’s face, so bashful and cute Pi thought his heart was melting.
Pi watched as Ryo closed his eyes and pulled the blanket closer to his chin.
“Good night Pi…” Ryo whispered.
“Good night Ryo-chan…” Pi said in his thoughts, as he continued watching, again, Ryo’s sleeping face which he had grown so engrossed to.
