Summary: a new friend comes into the lives of these people. (i totally suck at this)

Once Yamashita was back to his normal hectic routine of filming, recording, photoshoots, promotions etc, he had not much time to think of anything weird. Not much, that was, though the boy who had somehow intersected his life for some ten plus hours a month ago had made some impact on him. It was what Yamashita could describe only as weird. For him, along with many of his fellow colleagues, belonged to an agency that housed the prettiest male idols in the industry. Himself being amongst the top and most celebrated of them all. He couldn’t quite pinpoint the special points about that Nishikido Ryo he met on the plane. He was just a normal teenage male, very average height, and so he thought, he must have appeared pretty short in the states. Very slim figure, and so he added, he must have appeared emaciated in the states. Very black shiny hair, that would have made him an alien here in Japan. Very dark and deep orbs, that seemed to hold the mysteries of the earth. And that poisoned tongue, having teased him a little too much in that short period of meeting. It was a nice name too, Ryo, very short and had a nice ring to the ears.
Still in deep thoughts, he was suddenly whacked hard on the shoulders.
“Hey! Why thinking so hard?”
Pi looked up. Who could it be but his very best friend, another celebrated male idol, Akanishi Jin.
“Everybody does that once in a while, except maybe you, you know.” Pi replied, as he held his hands on his temples and stumbled lower so his elbows rested on his knees.
Akanishi pouts, which goes missed by Pi though. “By the way, how was your trip, met any sexy girls?” Jin sat himself next to Pi and started leaning in. “Don’t the exotics feel awesome!” Jin starts wrapping his arms round Pi’s chest from behind and rubs his busts.
Pi quickly shakes him off and shifts to the other end of the couch. “You’re perverted Jin! I was working, not clubbing.”
Jin makes a playful smile and licks his lips. “Aww, come on. You’ve got to get some normal male “activity” if you know what I mean… you’ve got to stop thinking about Keiko-chan.”
“Don’t call her Keiko-chan, you don’t even know her!” Pi sounded angry, but he knew he wasn’t even thinking about Keiko, his previous girlfriend. They got on pretty good terms since the filming of their drama together, but afterwards, after all the buzz and promotions and they started seeing each other less work-wise. It kinda died down. It was a pity, Pi thought, that people only remained interested in the other when they were always around each other. Once people part, they get too lazy with communications and mutual topics decrease. Now he reconsiders whether he had actually liked her or it was just cause she was the nearest person he could reach then and there.
Jin stops giggling and sits straight. “Alright, sorry. Come drink with us tomorrow, I’ll introduce you to new people.”
Pi feels a bit sorry for being irritated by his friend for nothing. “Actually, I’m fine, just that I didn’t really have a break between all this flying and working, it’s just kinda getting to me.” He ponders for a moment whether he should start about Ryo, maybe Jin, who has so much experience, could analyze a bit for him.
Jin smiles a big silly smile. “For me, I’m properly living my life now.”
Pi looks up, honestly bewildered by the news. “Define proper may I beg.”
“I’m seeing someone, and only one, we’re living together now.” Jin beams.
Pi’s eyes widen in surprise, it’s not fair, he thinks, he knows everyone wants to get a piece of Jin so it’s not like Jin couldn’t find a partner easily, but Jin was always the playboy who wouldn’t settle down. Why did he end up having this kind of tranquility and stability whereas Pi was still wandering around to be loved?
Pi swallowed. “Congratulations.” It was dull and sounded nonchalant, he’s sorry he couldn’t be more ecstatic but he couldn’t force himself.
Jin stands up and places a hand on Pi’s shoulder, “so tomorrow night at 9 at the usual place. Kame, Ueda etc would be there too!”
Pi drags his feet as he approaches the club in Roppongi the gang usually meets. He’s pretty sure Jin’s going to bring his new “flavor of the month” girl to meet them, though Jin had never really said things like living properly and seeing only one person before. Living together was definitely new too. This all was getting Pi very curious.
The KT-TUN gang were there already except Jin. Pi greets them and the atmosphere loosens up.
“Who’s this new person, do you know?” Kame leans in and asks Pi.
“Eh? I thought you guys would know.” Pi shrugs.
“Hah, I bet it’s just any person you can pick out here.” Koki laughs as he gulps down another beer.
Just as they were in a heated discussion about the mystery person Jin has proudly been boasting around recently, Jin appeared with a boy following behind.
Even in the dark club with minimal ambient light from candles and weak lamps, Pi recognized the person immediately. No way… Pi murmurs.
“This is Nishikido Ryo, my English teacher.” Jin announces, in english. He looked very proud, as if pulling off the veil of a new erected statue.
Everyone was silent for a moment. Looking up from their seats, mouth dangling open, no sound coming out.
Nakamaru starts first. “Hello, I’m Nakamaru Yuichi, nice to meet you.” His face blushes and he looks embarrassed about his pronunciation. Somehow, people got the idea that this “english teacher” spoke nothing but English.
Nishikido shines a lop-sided smile. “Nishikido Ryo desu, yoroshiku. Nihongo de moii ne.” He holds out his hand and shakes every one of them in turn. The last is Pi’s, and Pi doesn’t know why but he wants to dig a hole and hide inside. It’s not like he’s done anything with this guy in reality that should deserve penalization, it was all in his head, but still, when it turned out to be your best friend’s “English teacher”, it felt wrong. Pi can only thank himself that he did not blurt about any of this to Jin.
Ryo shakes Pi’s hand firmly, and Pi only mumbles his name under his breath with head held down hoping it'll go missed. However, Ryo pulls on the shake like he did on their first shake, and Pi automatically looks up again.
“Hey! You’re that Yamashita Tomohisa guy that almost peed on your seat right?” Ryo sounds as if he is reminded of a joke, he’s overly excited, and Pi is reminded again why he should hate this person.
“What? What happened? You two know each other?” Jin almost screams a bit too animatedly. They go on to talk about their little encounter, Pi tries to skip most of the main points, but Ryo most willingly fills them in. The eight of them happily chats away and every KAT-TUN member was totally in love with this new guy in the end, so much so they might have happily changed themselves to KRAT-TUN or something, Pi thinks. He has to admit though, that Ryo was quite a joy to have around. He was talkative, but in a shy way. His teased people a lot, but that turned out quite comical for the others, and the subject of tease then goes laughing too in the end. Ryo was knowledgeable, and it seems like he graduated from some respected college.
“We met when I was in LA.” Jin explains. “He was a student in UCLA, and I was taking English courses.”
“Really?” Ueda seemed most interested in this new guy.
“Right.” Ryo continues, “This guy is crazy, I’ve lived in LA for years and I didn’t notice so many places for night activities.”
Jin laughs, and Pi laughs along bitterly. His best friend had come back from LA for more than 2 years, so his best friend has been in a relationship for That long and he didn’t know?
“So how did you guys end up together?” “And are you staying in Japan for good?” “Too bad there’s no legal marriage system for homos in Japan.” the KT-TUNs joked as they continued their constant firing of questions. Pi has a terrible headache and only wants to leave, though he remembers Ryo said he was coming for family business, and didn’t even know how long he’d stay. How did it turn about that they’d be marrying?
