Summary: Written for lost_in_108 prompt #14: memory. Thirty years separate father and son once more following the Incident, and Miles and Pierre reflect on their memories of each other and the changes in their relationship.
He’d always wondered about his father, even when Lara said that he’d kicked them out because he hadn’t cared about them.
Miles still believed that even after meeting Pierre. He had no other memories of him, after all. But now he’s seen Pierre reading to his infant self, and knows why Pierre sent them away, Miles understands his father.
The “Me and My Polar Bear” book is all Pierre has left of Miles and Lara following the evacuation.
They’re both gone, infant and adult Miles, and he won’t see them again.
But he still remembers Miles saving him at the Swan, and Pierre’s proud that he’s his son.
