Summary: Written for lost_in_108 prompt #52: bottle. Juliet sends a message in a bottle in the hope someone will find it and deliver it to Rachel, but the eventual recipient is not who she had intended.
Juliet writes the letter with no real expectation that it will reach Rachel, yet a part of her retains an irrational hope that someone will find her message in the bottle, that they will let Rachel know Juliet is still alive, that she’s never stopped thinking of her, and that Rachel will find some way to come and rescue her.
Ben folds his arms across his chest, raises an eyebrow as he glances at the bottle. “Did you really think this would work? We had an agreement, Juliet. You expected Rachel to rescue you, but staying here on the island is the only way you can save her.”
