Practice What I Preach
I know I said I should be updating this more often, and look at that - it has been a year since my last post! LOL #FAIL
There are some threads that I post on Twitter that makes condensing it down to 140 characters does make some fun creativity, so again, I will endeavor to do a better job of updating this more often - I promise this time.
For those that may not follow me on Twitter, the same day that my friend Chase moved away, I started a job much closer to home. I felt like I was being jerked around by not being considered for that position at my old job. But driving 3 miles one way each day, versus 30 miles - that is a lot of fuel to burn, not only in the truck, but in the pocketbook as well. My truck has a lot of miles on it, and putting 3000 miles a month was wearing it down fast.
I am going to be making another trip next month to Eastern Washington to talk to some youth about the issues they have been dealing with regarding the rights they have in having a club in their schools. Thankfully, the school board realized they were total idiots about it and reversed their vote last month to block all non-curricular clubs so that a Gay-Straight Alliance could not form. Of course they say that it was never about the GSAs, but one of the board members was chastised by their child saying "You killed swing club!" The board member's response: "It was not my intention to kill Swing Club." Uhm, that is non-curricular, so you are an idiot for thinking that.
But for right now, I will sign off, until I can think of something more productive to say on here. LOL
