Long overdue update
I need to stop neglecting my LiveJournal.
Gotta lot of stuff going on in my life, so I will try to keep you all entertained.
I am eyeballing a new position opening up at work. I have no idea whether or not the boss will promote me into the role, but I have a unique qualification with the company, since I used to be a dispatch supervisor. It will be great, as it will just deal with working on the computer all day, maintaining the taxi queues at Sea-Tac Airport when we take over the first of November.
Been spending as much time as I can with my good friend Chase, who is moving away to western New York the end of next month. He has been such a positive impact in my life, it is going to be hard to adjust once he is gone. The plan was to move with him, but right now, that is just not plausible. If I do not get the aforementioned job, who knows?
Will be going to Spokane the middle of next month to meet up with some youth that are dealing with adversity from their school administration trying to form GSA (Gay-Straight Alliance) clubs in their school.
Been working with a local female impersonator (aka 'drag queen') raising money for GLSEN. So far we are over $6,000 raised since the first event in January. She wants to get us past $10,000 by year's end. If done right, I honestly think we can do it!
That's it for now. Gotta get some sleep. Tomorrow is my 'Monday' and I have to figure out why all four computers want to install anti-virus software from Qwest, when I only installed it on one machine. I spent 45 minutes on the phone with them (and four transfers) to figure out how to get it. Not sure what the heck happened. Then pick up Chase and give him a ride home. More quality time in the short amount I have left...
