So, two final papers down, one to go. I'm at page 3 of that one, too, and it's supposed to be 8-10 pages. It's a research paper, though, so the going is slow.
I managed to finish my Latin quiz on Wednesday, two days before it was due, and then forgot to email it to him until a day after it was due. Still kicking myself.
The novel's at 68,000 words and has two scenes left. I'm not worried about finishing it--though the current draft kind of sucks--but I am worried about the fact that I'm going to have to read someone else's novel and write a 10 page critique of it in five days, one of which includes class and one of which includes a final. So, three solid days to read and critique a novel. When I should be studying for my other final. The amount of pissed off I am about this defies words. (Because seriously, I think writing a novel is enough work for one class--and the people who opted for getting published don't have to do anything. At all. No writing critiques, no writing novels. Yay for being screwed because I did more work.)
And my last final's on the 18th. (Latin final is this Saturday.) That teacher thinks that because three hours are allotted for the final, he has to write a three-hour final. There's just nothing he can do about it. University policy, he says. I have never once, in four years, had a final that took the entire three hours.
But I can pull this. Maybe not with the best of grades, but with a few breaks (consisting of watching FullMetal Alchemist* or blowing things to hell in various games) I might even stay sane.
*FullMetal Alchemist seriously saves my sanity when I'm working 24/7. Something about that show makes all life happy for the twenty minutes the episode runs.
