Yes we can - and we did!
Too tired to write much now or even to process the events of this night, but just wanted to record how happy I am that Barack
Obama won the election tonight. He is the first candidate in a long time that I have been inspired by & the first ever who I was willing to give my money to. I appreciated McCain's concession speech & wish we would have seen a lot more of that McCain during his campaign. I am hopeful & proud & excited that we will be opening a new page in our country's history, & equally hopeful that people will work together moving into the future in the way that many worked to make this election possible. I admire & respect Obama, but realize that he's only 1 person (albeit the most powerful person in the world). He can't make change happen all by himself... but I think his campaign shows that he knows that & so do many others!
So, on that note, good night! I've been up since 5:30 this morning so I could vote super early with Andy. I'm tired!
