At my bridge game last night, we were discussing a hosue that had exploded near Milwaukee over the weekend, completely destroying the house killing the 80-year old resident. On the way home, as I was on the freeway, I noticed I was approachin an orange glow on the side, which became brighter as I neared and then I could see it was a car on the on-ramp, comlpetely covered in flames. Tho I'm a bad judge of things like distance, my guess was that the flames were a good 15 feet high.
As I drew past it, it looked like the car was flipped on its roof. One car was pulling over to the ramp.freeway intersection as I went past. I assuemd someone had called for help but just to be safe I called 911. The dispactcher said the fire dept was already en route. About 1 min later, two police/sherriff/state trooper cars came screaming by on the other side of the freeway towards the fire.
Strangely, there was nothing on any of the local news stations, and I can't find info on either TV web sites or the Joutnal/Sentinel's web site.
