I saw on the news y'all got snow, while we just had a brush with it a few days ago. Ours was more "rain with delusions of being snow" though.

I share your pain over connection woes. My father and I are both having a connection that's much like a rollercoaster -- up, down, up, down, etc.

It goes through spells like this quite a lot. They immediately say it's the router, and replace it, which is a temp fix because simply turning the old one off will reset the connection. It usually ends up being the wiring outside that connects the antenna (we have a wireless system) into the house wiring, but they never listen to us when we remind them about this. Especially not to me, because I have breasts, which apparently render me an idiot about computers.

We're getting so pissed about this, especially since we've been paying for the same "fix" over and over, we're about to make an ultimatum to the new owners, who might actually listen because the old ones (still the onsite techs) don't give a rat's ass. We're not paying until it works without fail for a month, and we expect our bill to be pro-rated for downtime and slow time that inconvenienced us.

Good for you! Good luck! I *hate* it when those bozos don't have a clue and assume that since you're female, you don't either.

Yeah, apparently having a penis and acting like a tool gets things fixed. ;)
