Kickstart Your Heart

I just filled out an online application to the new WalGreens that's opening up on Atwells Avenue (for the locals, that's the new building that they're almost finished building; the one with the condos in it.)

I figure it would be good to start looking for another job. I'm not looking for anything full-time; I already have a full-time job. I'm looking for something small, part-time, and just a few days a week. Even if it comes down to an extra $100 a week, that'd be a big help.

It's not even really that I need another job, it'd just be a big help. Moving into this apartment, while it comes with a multitude of pros that far out weight any con that might be present, is going to take a toll on me financially. Even without a second job, I'd be able to afford it and live okay, but since my work schedule does permit me to work nights and not be entirely too tired and drained, it wouldn't hurt to get something else for a little while.

I'm in a position where I need more money, but I'm not really in a position to ask my boss for a raise just yet. Though I am starting my classes for Food Safety and Sanitation Certification next week (which Venda is paying for), and so by mid-April, I'll be certified in the state of Rhode Island for Food Safety, and may be in a better position to ask for more money. But for right now, I think a second job is the thing I should look into.

Everyone please wish me luck.
