Oh god..
My father went to the doctors today because his leg hurt.
It was just a simple test to see if he had varicose veins,
an easily solved problem. The doctor wasn't sure about
something so he did an ultra sound.. on his legs, chest,
and neck. Come to find out the main artery on his right side
is 100% blocked and the one on his left is 90% blocked.
I'm so freaked out.
The doctor told my father he is surprized he didn't have a
stroke. ;__; So tommorow he is getting a catscan and within
the next few days they are going to do surgery on the artery
that is 90% clogged. They can do nothing for the one that is
fully blocked.. if my father didn't go to the doctors today
his arterties would have been shut completely and he could
have had a heart attack and died. I pray to God this surgery
heals him and he will be okay without having to worry.
When I heard about the possible stroke I nearly shit a brick.
My father? A stroke? A heart attack? No way. My dad works out
with me, diets with me, we go for walks and eat low fat foods.
He's the healthist one. But then he told me smoking contributes
a lot to this. Smoking causing the veins to shrink from lack of
oyxgen thus making it harder for the blood to flow.
No more smoking.
