That's an easy way to divvy them up, yes. It boils down to 'special', 'will be special given enough time' and 'decidedly non-special', really.

I wasn't there during the sinking years, or I wouldn't be here in the first place.

I get bad days, they're just so terrifically better than anyone else's bad days that rarely can other tell the difference. As for my stay... good enough. Not really different from any other place in particular that I've been, once you get past the fluctuations and the curses and whatnot.

It's good that you're able to get over the curses so easily, lots of other people can't! Though maybe you just haven't had a really bad one yet - after all, a well-placed sexuality reversal curse day could send you asexual. :D
