3rd Fairy Tale § Action
[Jilly wasn't much of a drinker, but tonight she didn't feel like staying at home with her empty rooms. Painting would have been relaxing...but even that didn't seem right, tonight. She wanted a chance to be around people... to feel the energy that came from hearing new stories and seeing new faces.
Good Spirits wasn't quite the bars back home. She missed the sound of the Geordie's fiddle or Amy's pipes starting off an Irish reel behind the talking, and she missed having Sophie and Wendy to sit and talk with... or even better... join her dancing.
But it was a distraction, and not necessarily an unpleasant one. She's barely touched her beer, more interested in people watching than drinking, but even without the music she's smiling... foot tapping to a rhythm that probably only she can hear.
