[Action - Private to Buffy]

[She woke with a gasp, adrenaline rushing through her as she bolted upright, accidentally knocking the pillow from the spare bed in the back of Good Spirits. Eyes wide, she looked around desperately, expecting to see Raylene standing over her...but there was nothing. Just a dimly lit room and silence. Her wings fluttered uneasily against her shoulders, feathers against skin. It was odd enough to draw her attention to the white, new feather dress she was wearing...inappropriately summery for the chilly autumn air. Nervously, she smoothed the skirt with her hands, trying to piece it together. The last thing she remembered was Raylene shoving her...and if that explained how she'd ended up here, Jilly wasn't quite ready to believe it.]

[Written - Filtered to Raylene]

[she doesn't know what to say. Like standing there in the woods, Jilly found herself speechless. There were a million questions she needed answered, a thousand things she wanted to tell her sister...and she could imagine each and every one of them going badly.

Raylene had been mad...but that push was just that. A push. There had been no precipice to fall over, or stairwell, or weapon. It had just been two sisters and years of hurt. She couldn't even begin to imagine what Raylene had gone through...or how she'd take this, now.

In the end, she settles for a short, written message, half scratched out as she tries to put it on the page]

Raylene,

I'm ali alright. I'd like to If you want to talk, I live at House 7.

Jilly

[Voice/Action - Public]

[once she'd had a chance to speak with Buffy and give her sister an hour's notice, Jilly left the back room to sit in the main area of Good Spirits. Sitting with a single beer and a bowl of soup, she perched on a bar stool, bare legs neatly crossed, and opened her journal. There were so many people she needed to contact that she was afraid she'd miss too many if she tried to do this privately...so she manages a faint smile and keeps it simple...though her voice is a bit more subdued than usual]

Looks like I made it back just in time for Thanksgiving. I'm- okay. In one piece. If anyone wants to join me in Good Spirits, I think I'll be here awhile.

[she wasn't really ready to head home, away from people, yet.]
