24th Fairy Tale § Action/Video
[Action, backdated to early on Wednesday, the 7th]
[Jilly loved all the seasons, but autumn... there was something magical about it that put a spring in her step and filled her with energy until she couldn't stay in her studio or the library or House 7 any more. She had to be outside. In the cool, crisp air, bundled up in a thick, oversized sweatshirt, baggy bellbottoms and a pair of fingerless gloves, the artist made her way to the store to pick up a rake. And then she went back to 7. And she got to work.
Bit by bit, the yard is cleared of leaves. She even made her way up and down the road, hunting down stray, crinkling leaves and sweeping them back until her hair stuck to the back of her neck, the sweatshirt had been abandoned in a pile on the grass, and a glorious mound of gold, brown, orange, yellow, and red was piled high. By the time she'd finished her careful work, the leaves reached almost to her waist, and spread out wide enough for three people to lay side by side...if they could even manage to clamber up onto the pile to begin with.
It's then that she heads inside to get a cup of coffee and her journal, before coming out to sit cross-legged on the grass beside her masterpiece.]
You know, the days are getting shorter and the temperature is dropping, and we've even passed Halloween...but it hasn't really felt like fall, yet.
