Am I a traitor? Maybe.
So... I bought a PS3.
WHAT.
Yep, sure did. I bought the bundle that included Metal Gear Solid 4 with an 80 GB HD, and I also purchased Soul Calibur IV. I have yet to play MGS4, but I've played a ton of SCIV so far, and I can definitely say that it's just more of the same with fancier graphics.. and that's all. But that's a good thing for SC, because it's game mechanics work very well. I also now have a system to play my PS2 and PSOne games on. w00t. I can finally start up Final Fantasy XII. :)
My reasons for buying one? Well, I was gonna wait for a possible price drop this fall, but I didn't want to wait any longer. I'm excited about LittleBigPlanet, Final Fantasy XIII, Resident Evil 5, and TNA iMPACT. I was going to get TNA on the Wii, but the dev studio making the project for the Wii skimped out on major features of the game... primarily the Create-a-Wrestler and online modes. I will not have that, as the Wii is fully capable of doing both of those things. Save CAWs to an SD card, and not having online is inexcusable. Ugh.
Now I can buy Bionic Commando: Rearmed, and I can also pick up Castlevania: Symphony of the Night -- I've been dying to play the latter as I'm a huge "Metroidvania" fan.
In other news, I'm playing in a wedding today, too. Sam and I are going to a friend/coworker's wedding in a small town about 20 minutes from here. Rehearsal went well last night, so all should work well today. Hey, I get to play in front of a crowd again... it's been awhile. :P
