Just when I thought the uber-angst of previous seasons was abating somewhat, BAM! My poor little heart gets smushed by Winchesters - AGAIN. :'(

But it most certainly was a flaily ep. Hurry up Friday, again!

The show really does thrive on angst. I know Jensen cries pretty, but poor Dean need a break!

I can say one thing, at the end of every episode this season, I just can't wait for the next one. It's a very good thing!

Dude, I agree with you about Dean telling Lisa the truth. I would have been happier if he told her he was a vampire at the time and they both agreed that, indeed, the life with a hunter is too dangerous and that they should just break up, instead of having Lisa think Dean is physically abusive with her kid ( ... )

I just don't see that it would have been worse. At least Dean was dangerous for something that was beyond his control. Like I said, Lisa probably would have said the same thing, but at least she would have been able to understand that Dean had a reason, and it really was beyond something he could control.

Well, it's interesting, I wonder how many of these fans are the same people who were pissed about Lisa letting Dean into her house in the first place?

I have a hard time following Sam's logic or lack there of.

It really does seem like a big reveal to be in a preview, but who knows. I mean we knew Dean was going to get vamped from the previews last week. It's hard to tell. But, I'm sure Sam's in for more pain for sure. Hah, people will probably be hating on Cas next week. It's his turn now, right?

I agree, Dean should have told Lisa the truth. He should have told her about being turned into a vamp and the dangers that he is facing right now. Knowledge is power and this kind of knowledge could only help Lisa and possibly strengthen Dean and Lisa's relationship ( ... )

Oh definitely. He did the worse thing, not give her any explanation at all. Not talking about something won't make it go away or solve anything. Unfortunately most of the time Dean doesn't get this. At the same time, it seems so often when he actually WANTS to talk, people don't have the time for him.

I mean overboard because he kept punching Sam even after he was totally out of it. I can understand why Dean did it for sure. Sam is very manipulative and he has no problem using Dean to his own ends. I might even wager that Sam is a bit emotionally abusive toward Dean. I don't know. So, it's not like I don't know why he did it.

I just have a hard time justifying violence when it's not in self defense. That was definitely a one sided fight. At the same time Sam didn't even attempt to get away of block the blows. I kind of feel like he let it happen.

Having said all that, I was okay with the first punch!

I see, understand and agree with your comments about Dean's pummeling of Sam was not in self-defense. Usually, I am right there with you, thinking that the pounding was not justified, but for some reason, I don't see it that way and didn't have a hard time with this.

And I don't think Sam "let" it happen. Dean caught Sam off guard with his first punch. Totally unexpected and not something Dean would characteristically do, which is why I think he was able to get the upper hand and with the first hard punch, Sam was leveled and Dean just kept them coming so Sam didn't really stand a chance.

Yup, I'm with all the "Dean should've told Lisa the truth" people. I don't get why he wouldn't, I mean, she knows about the hunting, and that things have been after him, the truth would only be helpful imo.

I'm also with Metallidean_grl on the beating Dean gave Sam, yes both are at fault, but Sam has been even pissing ME off this season with the way he's acting, Dean was pushed too far, possibly losing Lisa (I'm hoping not?) and he just lost it, me and my husband were both kinda like "yeah Dean!" LOL

Exactly! I mean she might have still told him he couldn't be in their lives anymore, but at least she would have known exactly why he shoved Ben. He did it to protect him, not because he was angry or messed up. He was a vamp. He told Ben to stay back, and when he didn't he pushed him out of the way. Sure, he didn't mean to do it as hard as he did. But, he did it so Ben wouldn't get MORE hurt.

I like to say neither brother is blameless because they both do a lot of terrible things to each other. But, what Sam was doing we really terrible. He allowed his brother to get turned, he didn't tell Dean he knew there was a cure, he's pretty much the reason Dean lost Lisa and Ben (I'm hoping that they'll work things out though too!), so Dean has a lot of reasons to be angry with Sam. And that's why he did it. Sam in season four so far has pissed me off the most. This season, I don't know I must be getting jaded toward him! LOL

(I laughed at the first punch. I wonder what that says about me?!)
