Vegas baby
So, JANE magazine may have folded, and it may reflect the b-s that runs this industry (probably most industries), but life goes on. I'm going to Vegas.
I was supposed to go to Vegas back in May (my work friend had two free airline tix thru a time share presentation thingie) but she got really sick the day we were supposed to go, so we didn't go (that's when I went to Disneyland with my mom instead). But luckily, Southwest was cool and honored our credit, which meant we only had to pay $50 apiece to get new tickets. And now Jesse is going to join us too. And we're going for three nights instead of two. We leave in three weeks! Let's hope no one gets sick!! We're going to stay at the Planet Hollywood casino ... formerly the Aladdin. I stayed at the Aladdin the first time I went to Vegas (w/ my parents), so at least it is a nice place. I think the price might be good because apparently they're still working on the transformation. It's totally gotta be nicer than the Tropicana or Excalibur, and those places were close to the same price. If you're familiar with Vegas, get this: it was actually MORE (OK, like $10 a night more) to stay at the Imperial Palace than the PH casino. We've stayed at the IP, and while it's fine, it ain't fancy.
