Blahhh...
Well, there isn't much to talk about here on my first journal post, but I've got somthin' really funny that happened yesterday to me.
I was at my little sister's end-of-the-season soccer party, and because it was with Upward Soccer, and a church, it was HUGE! There were a TON of people there, and a lot of FOOOOD!! *will do nearly anything for food* But, here's the thing. I live in a part of the U.S. of A. where there are churches on nearly every street, and nearly every church is BAPTIST! That means Screaming Preachers that scare the living daylights out of you, way-too-long worship services, and of course, Altar Calls. Well, at the church that hosted my sister's soccer, it was their very first year of doing so. And it showed. The only kid-friendly things they did was have the kids run through a cute little tunnel with smoke )To Highschool Musical music...*hides*( and have this really great ventriloquist come out. The rest was like an adult's church. But the funniest part was, the pastor said he wasn't going to preach, guess what he did? Yup, he preached, and had an altar call. And the best part about this Altar call, was that no one went down. First time I have EVER seen anything like it, and I hope to see it again! XD
