This was really fun to read. I liked seeing what Uriel thinks of Castiel and thier situation here. Was what was changed that Zachariah asked him to kill Castiel instead of leaving them alone?

It does make me wonder if God would have resurrected the both of them and how that would have changed season 5. Uriel would not have put up with the things that Dean dragged Castiel into. Plus he would have been pissed if he found himself falling to human level abilities.

To be honest, I don't know what changed. (It would've required an epic re-write of the entire angel storyline, and I'm just not as clever as the real SPN writers!) The fic simply runs with the assumption that events were altered enough that Uriel's loyalties are to Cas, no questions asked. I don't know about you, but I liked Uriel; he was totally evil in the end, but he had a lot of BAMF potential. Imagining him as a member of Team Freewill blows my mind, and I think he would've been a total big brother for Cas.

Man, Uriel falling along with Cas! What a great fic idea. I am stealing that from you, sister. (Hope you don't mind!) :D
