It's a love story kinda day....

"There is something beautiful about a billion stars held steady by a God who knows what He is doing. (They hang there, the stars, like notes on a page of music, free-form verse, silent mysteries swirling in the blue like jazz.) And as I lay there, it occurred to me that God is up there somewhere. Of course, I had always known He was, but this time I felt it, I realized it, the way a person realizes they are hungry or thirsty. The knowledge of God seeped out of my brain and into my heart. I imagined Him looking down on this earth, half angry because His beloved mankind had cheated on Him, had committed adultery, and yet hopelessly in love with her, drunk with love for her."  -- Donald Miller

Guys, seriously, if you have nothing better to do, read Blue Like Jazz by Donald Miller.  Radically, radically rattled my world view on God and Love and the whole Redemption story and guys, it's all about LOVE!  *hugs everyone*

Also, because this song makes me melt: "Love Song for a Savior" by Jars of Clay.

Also, have a classic hymn, because I'm in "Love God, Love Everyone" mood and David Crowder does amazing things with "Come Thou Fount."

"Teach me some melodious sonnet, sung by flaming tongues above..."

Also, I'm falling in love with the poetry of the Bible.  "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful."  We hold onto (grasp with our hands, clutch in our grip, depend on for strength) the confession (our admittance, our apology[?], our profession, our voicing that we believe this to be true, that we believe) of our hope (that which we have faith will come and save us from ourselves, that which we have not yet seen) without giving up, because he who promised (God, the King of all Kings, the Author of Time and Space) is faithful (he will keep his word.)  *flails*  So....much...poetry...and...power!  *flails*

confession, god talk, it's all a love story, rambling, christianity
