I read A Cure for Boredom last night. It is.
And wonderfully long too. It took me all night.
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for: fun, funny, hot, kinky and in character (well, except for the ending. In my opinion any ending that has John and Sherlock in a healthy relationship and openly expressing their feelings for each other is out of character), if a bit didactic. It’s basically “John and Sherlock Discover The Good Vibrations Guide to Sex”. Which I read with great care when I was 20, thank you. But since I get the impression that most teenagers these days get their sex ed from reading fanfic, I’m all for it. (Hell, when I was a teenager I had to get my sex ed from reading Penthouse Forum. It did not do me any favours. I don’t know what Penthouse Forum is like these days, but back in the ’80s when I was reading it, they had not yet heard of the clitoris. For starters.)
