Inspired by
nineweaving 's summer pudding of some weeks ago, I finally mustered up my courage and
made one of my own. It's delicious. I used black raspberries, red raspberries, strawberries, and some odd yellow plums which I peeled in hot water first.
Here are the results. Eight photos under the cut.
Whipped cream.
It was in the refrigerator overnight, with a plate on the top and an eighteen-ounce can of tomatoes on top of the plate to press it down.
Flipped upside down on a plate...
STICKY!
It's... beautiful.
I'm proud but nervous. How's it going to taste?
With whipped cream and a sauce boat full of mashed raspberries reserved from the fruit-cooking procedure.
There's a lot more of it missing now. I'll freeze whatever we don't eat today, and it'll be a taste of July a month from now.
