Mmmm. Thanks :) I definitely love me some Bogart. Especially in a top hat. Although top hats always make men look like Fred Astaire to me, no matter their actual appearance ^^

I wouldn't have associated him with top hats, but he looks darn good in one.

Possibly it's because the first Astaire movie I saw was "Top Hat"-- kind of cements the association forever! :D

Not to mention that he's doing up his cufflinks before tucking his shirt into his pants. . .which seems awkward.

A Lord Dunsany story I haven't read? That man was prolific. I must read it. Even if it's non-fantasy, I gotta know. I like his style.

Also, this photo reminds me of my favorite Far Side cartoon. Have you seen it? A man getting up in the morning and looking blearily at a handwritten sign on his wall that he's obviously made himself. It says:

First Pants, THEN Your Shoes
