More Good Wife Reactions
So I have to say this show combines its political and legal storylines with the characters' personal lives masterfully. And I think all other shows should take tips from this one regarding a) how to write female characters and female friendships, b) how to write morally complex characters, c) how to write romance. The fact that Will and Alicia getting together only makes things ten times more interesting because it's forbidden and it has a ripple affect on everything around them proves that pairings can be compelling after the fact if the tension and the stakes remain high enough.
PLUS, THEY ARE INSANELY HOT. I mean that sex scene in the season premiere? Holy crap. I can't say I expected this when I heard the words 'CBS political drama'. They are hitting all of my kinks. The secret workplace affair, the boss/employee thing, the fact that everyone kind of thought they were having an affair before but now they actually are, the fact that if his partner finds out she's fucked, the fact that her husband is targeting the firm because of them and he actually has the power to ruin their lives. STAKES. When it all falls apart it will all fall apart.
Kind of glad I didn't watch this for so long so I got to consume it all in one greedy gulp. But now I have to waaait.
