I need to pay better attention to concert listings

I could have totally driven to DC on sunday to see the scissor sisters and instead i spent it sitting on my ass. Ive gotten lazy about paying attention to tour dates and this needs to change... yeah... thats what im feeling. They are in toronto tonight too, but its both a six hour drive and sold out. After this they are heading straight out west, so we missed our chance. sucks ass.

actually, this time I am referring to the japanese Mono. Unfortunately, the british Mono broke up many years ago, with siobhan now doing vocals for Violet Indiana with robin guthrie of the cocteau twins. Tho if you like the sound, id recommend St. Etienne, who unfortunately are in the studio currently and not touring, or id see them in a heartbeat.

scared the shit out of me when I first heard of them, because I downloaded some thinking "ooo... new mono album" and when I played it I basically said "what the @#%$". Japanese alt-rock is weird.

the beginning of sophomore year they closed all the venues that were any good...including one right on forbes. um, so no one good is going to come to pgh ever! it was a depressing last three years!
