I could have totally driven to DC on sunday to see the scissor sisters and instead i spent it sitting on my ass. Ive gotten lazy about paying attention to tour dates and this needs to change... I remember the good old days when we would drive four hours to atlanta to see guster or whoever the hell was playing. Unfortunately from what I can see, absolutely no one of interest is in pittsburgh for the next two months, other than justin timberlake and type o negative, and type o had to pick the exact weekend that im going to be in NYC with family for my birthday.
Well, actually.... mono is playing at CMU next month, so that is something. And VAST is at the end of this month in cleveland. VNV Nation is on the 24th of April in cleveland as well (im totally going to this). Southern Culture on the Skids is on May 5th. And hey... the Shins are playing this weekend in DC, tho this might be a little short notice.
I thought when I moved up north id be seeing more good music, but people were correct when they told me pittsburgh sucks for shows. I suppose its a bit of comfort that im within easy driving distance of buffalo, cleveland, DC, and philly. Let me know if anyone ever wants to make a road trip.
