An Acceptable Risk

Okay, so today, at work, I took what I would call an acceptable risk, given the evidence.

I told my boss at work about my transition.

I think that it is wonderful your boss is so understanding and in your court. I want you to be happy and proud of yourself, but I also want you to be alert. There are people in this world that are somehow threatened by trans-persons. They may not show it at the get go, but I have heard on more than one instance at parties etc, someone who was "cool" has a few drinks and show their true colors. They get their friends all riled up and it gets potentially life threatening. Be careful T, be happy and be who you are, but at the same time remember that not everyone understands us.

Honestly, thank you very much for the concern...this is going to be tough, especially at the beginning, and I'll constantly have to battle between being honest and being stealth. No really, thank you a lot. You're right.
