-today i attended a documentary screening for a film titled, "sleepingwalking through the mekong".
-before this film i had no idea what cambodian psychedelic music sounded like.
-let me tell you, i'm so happy that i went because cambodian psychedelic music is the shit. plus, now i can point out cambodia on any map. the film did an awesome job of showing how beautiful the people of cambodia are. a lot of the markets and landscapes in the film reminded me of my trip to the philippines.
-check out this band: dengue fever the musicians are all-american boys and the lead singer is from long beach. from what i understand, she is currently the cambodian janet jackson. you go girl.
-i would suggest listening to revenge of the tarantula.
