Alright...so..I suppose I ought to start with Friday. Or rather, Thursday night.
I couldn't sleep - it was dreadful. BUT I had things to keep me distracted and people to talk to, so it wasn't nearly as boring as usual.
I went to work Friday morning, then onto John A for the Bald Soprano's tech. It went very well.
Ran around to the school to make the display board. I got to play with sparkles and stars:) I still have the stars...hehe.
I had to stop off at the clinic before it closed, which happens to be ACROSS from John A. Pippa was stuck coming with me. We chatted about, you guessed it, Birth Control...haha, what better way to get to know someone than to discuss their preferred method of contraceptive. Then we went and had a lovely dinner at Swiss Chalet. We finished in time to get to our 'powwow' before the show. Oh MAN did that dressing room reek. I'm trying to recall which play came before bald soprano...Oh RIGHT, it was East Elgin with 'Wait Wait..Bo Bait'. It was HALARIOUS. THey also used very good transitions, although some seemed unnessecary. After our show was John A themselves with Monster's Anonymous. Great potential. Now here's the fun part..
It took us forever to load the truck, and a lot of muscle. THen to Ancaster to dump it in Mr.Cowan's garage. Then I went to Kate's. We had SO much fun. We giggled and talked to boys online and showed eachother our favourite sites and music...I haven't done that since middle school...or possibly grade 9. It's funny because she has been telling me about her boyfriend for a while now, and it wasn't until I saw his picture that I realised who he was. We laughed some more. Finally, after not sleeping for two nights, we went to bed. I slept like a rock. It was beautiful. Came home, showered, dressed, and just hung around my house until 4. I went and ran some errands downtown, and met up with Ben and Barry, who were kind enough to take me to dinner at La luna's. Yum. Then to John A, for the shows, karaoke, which Rodney and I rocked, and...awards.
I wrote them all down of course. But the important ones are as follows.
Ruthie, Spenser, and Magunth for their performances
Simon for directing
GOD cast for ensemble performance.
AND, Bald Soprano got an Outstanding Production award, and are going to Regionals.
Kevin proceeded to walk with me to Ozzy's for Shwarma. Simon met us there and we headed to his place for a Voyager fest.
now I need to go to work. TA!
