Coincidence?

Today I received an email from Yahoo HotJobs...

It extolls the virtues of working for the US government and then informs me of a job fair in the Seattle area looking for Patent Examiners for the USPTO.  All jobs are located in DC it says..

I find it too coincidental that I got this email just a few days after

Oooh, that would be fun. Do I get a big rubber stamp that says "Your Invention Sucks"?

Yep, my production levels were that high! :)

Actually, the patent side has a constant need for examiners. They have a much higher turnover rate. They don't have to be attorneys, so they are paid less than trademark examiners are.

I heard they did used to have stamps! But it's all paperless now :)
