Happy Cinco de Mayo!
Hope everyone has a nice day and doesn't get totally wasted.
I've been really busy as of late so I haven't gotten to post as much as I've wanted to. Here's a recap of the last 2 weeks. My parents have been up both weekends. The first was sorta a disaster with my family getting into a nasty tiff. It is now resolved thankfully. My mom has reversed her idea that I'm not fat and told me that I was gaining weight again. *rolling eyes* However, she's been really sweet to me otherwise. I've really been enjoying spending so much time with my parents. I honestly miss them alot and I wish that we lived closer.
I went to a wedding for a coworker...it was pretty and fun. Didn't get to go to Sarah's wedding due to too much house stuff. On a random note... buying wedding presents is sorta confusing.
Gotten started with the grilling time of year. Yay for burgers and all the barbque goodness! :) Yum!
We finished up almost all of the kitchen... just a minor bit of grout work, replacing base boards, and some sealing left. I bought more house improvement stuff... a granite sink for the kitchen, a new kitchen shop light to replace the $20 one that came with the house, and some FAB marble tile for both the bathrooms. I am soooooo majorly excited about the tile. It rocks and I got it for over 60% off! I can't believe it was LESS than the tile I bought the for kitchen. So it cost me less than $180 to buy the marble tile and grout for both bathrooms. So now I've officially blown all the money from my raise...to bad I still have improvements that need to be made. But it's been money well spent. :)
For now, I just look forward to a bit more rest and the house being more of a house instead of a renovation project.
