I just read this great book. I mean, it's really fantastic. I know, you've heard that before. But it was so great, I got into the bath with it and a glass of wine, figuring I'd read a dozen pages and get out. That's what usually happens. But I didn't.
I kept on reading pages 43 (I'd already started it, you see) through the end. 165 or so. I don't think I even bothered to pick up my wineglass. It was that great. I don't know.
I think it changed my life. I know, you've heard that before too. But I'm serious, I think it did. It just sort of reached down into me and twisted something around that had been twisted wrong and twisted it right again. I think. I'll come back in a few weeks and let you know. But I won't have to, because you'll know already.
Anyway, I'm going to go and do some of the things I need to do now. I just felt the need to share that.
Oh, what was the fantastic, life-changing book called?
Flight. By Sherman Alexie.
It's funny, too. Laugh out loud. And sad. I cried at the end. I'd tell you about it, but you should read it for yourself.
