It wasn't, you understand, that Wesley had any liking for candy canes. Rather, Cordelia insisted upon making hot chocolate during the holidays, and he simply couldn't offend her by refusing to drink it. Yet he found the beverage far too sweet for his tastes, but when stirred with a peppermint stick, the entirety became quite palatable. In fact, he found himself drinking the concoction and sucking, pensively of course, on the peppermint quite often in late evenings at the office after she had left and before she arrived. Which, in turn, had absolutely nothing to do with the way Angel watched his mouth, tongue plying over his own lips, licking at the edge of his teeth. Teeth which Wesley knew to be sharp even unfanged, sharp and just right pressed against, scraping over, locked around his jugular, tease, torment, hot and wicked, the only safety Angel's restraint. End of Wesley's life, perhaps end of the world, held back by nothing more than Angel's considerable will, for certainly Wesley wouldn't stop him, couldn't stop him, has no wish to stop him with his lips bruised and aching blood-bloomed from Angel's hunger for Christmas sweetness, his pulse pounding between Angel's teeth, his body screaming for cock or fang to sink deep, make claim, give shape, purpose, approval. No, it's not that Wesley had any particular liking for candy canes. It's that Angel did.

Wesley isn’t sure why he’s surprised at anything Angel does anymore. The vampire is constantly coming up with ways to put him off his game. But somehow he doesn’t expect this one; Angel sprawled over his favorite chair, across the room from Wes, sucking a long, thick peppermint stick like it’s dick. And he knows damn well he’s doing it, too--his eyelids lower as his tongue rolls around the end of the red-and-white striped column, which he’s sucked into a rounded shape that’s…well, that’s like dick, too. Wes swallows and shifts in his chair, crosses his legs. But it’s too late--Angel’s either seen his erection straining against his oh-so-stuffy trousers or he’s smelled arousal over the ever present aroma of musty books and old ink.

He slides the candy out of his mouth slowly, leaving a red stripe down the middle of his tongue, then he gets to his feet and stands in front of Wesley’s chair, leans forward.

“You know you want to,” he murmurs, and licks Wesley’s ear. “Plenty of lube…it’ll be fine.”

He strolls off to the bedroom. After a moment, Wes follows, wondering exactly when he’d crossed that line that made him not only willing but downright eager to be fucked with a peppermint stick.
