Two quick fic recs:
Atrophy Til You Reclaim by
drvsilla. This is a short, angsty, but ultimately sweet first time Wincest story. Dru's prose style is absolutely unique, and she has a gorgeous way of combining words to evoke for her readers precisely what she sees/hears/feels from the characters. What's most lovely about this fic is how very much it's about Sam *and* Dean as a unit. I usually have trouble with second person stories, loathe them in fact, but this one hits dead on for me. Read it. Coming from a Wee!cest writer, it's a really extraordinary take on how maybe it didn't happen way back when at all.
Holy Family by
ethrosdemon. Okay, so, this might be the single best take I've ever seen on Sam's deep deep love for Dean and how much he needs Dean's approval. It's baby-fic, but it's neither saccharine nor melodramatic. It's a hard true look at how Sam would feel if Dean took on baby-raising for some reason. It's honest about the love Sam and Dean bear and who they are together and separately. She gets the two bang on, and despite the tragic (in the true sense, not in the melodramatic or omgdyingbabies sense) take, there is a poignant comedy and overwhelming tenderness to Sam's thoughts that make it so well worth reading. Also, Kassie's eye for the tiny detail that sells the story is one of the best there is. I could quote half a dozen paragraphs and say "see here, this is just what I think, only she said it much better."
Go read. Tell them they're wonderful. I want more stories like these.
