Ok, here's where I'm coming from

I'm just being introduced to tech magick and tech paganism and that's from the point of view of a Chaotist and LaVeyan Satanist. I have a thing for history, the retro, the rustic look, classical styles. It's how I for the most part model my ritual chamber ( Read more... )

Here's something to try. Take a cell phone and turn it on relatively close to the speaker of the boom box, it should make a short but interesting noise.

As for what to do... I would advise taking what ever classes you can (or just reading up) on Circuit theory, Wave propagation, Quantum Physics. At some point you will wind up realizing that the more you know about Science (or maybe Psyince) the more you belive in magic. Also take whatever you know of other trads and make their props/tools out of purely technological devices. Use a soldering iron as an athame/dagger/knife/sword. Make a circle out of spare wire. Ground yourself by attaching a wire to your skin that then connects to earth ground. I'm a Electrical Engineering student so most of my tendancy is to play wih hardware.

Something else I've found useful is a mental Defrag. Clear your mind in the usual way and keep it clear for a minute or so, then let the next thing that comes to the front of your mind stay there, infact find all the little bits it relates to and put them in one place under one image and put it off to the side. Repeat as needed.
