I just read about it at Sex in the Public Square. I haven’t thought about it before, but what she says makes sense. If you’re a sexually active adult who could technically conceive, but you don’t want to have a child right now, it’s a good thing to keep on hand.

Interesting article. Just IMHO, I find it ridiculous they're charging $40 for what is essentially 3 huge birth control pills. I guess they figure that people think it's worth the price, which it truly is. However, I think that's an amazing markup.

The one time I needed it, my insurance actually covered it, but even so, I think it was only $20 (before insurance).

I haven't bought emergency contraception; I'm on oral contraceptives, so it's kindof moot ( ... )
