Were I not on oral contraceptives I might keep some around. It costs £25 from the chemist. If I could get to a doctor in time I could have a prescription for £6.65, although I don't think they'd trust me to have some on hand 'just in case' - so 'just in case' supplies would be expensive. Although the NHS is not perfect, I don't anticipate any problems getting emergency contraception if I should ever need it. I have known friends to use it on occasion and they had no difficulty whatsoever.
I would definitely buy some to take with me if I were not on oral contraceptives and I were travelling to another country, where I might not be able to get access to contraception so easily.
I do make sure I keep an extra month's worth of oral contraceptives around. I understand that this could also be used as emergency contraception if I were to do teh research and use the right dosage; I'd have to look it up to get it right, I should probably do that and mark down the results.
