While walking to Starbucks this morning, I looked to my left and saw the skyline of Minneapolis. This in itself is not unusual -- it happens every time I walk to Starbucks. But this particular morning, it triggered a cascade of things (and people) that I'm thankful for.
Thank you, in a huge way, jj.... I know it's been hard at times, but I love you and I thank you for being so supportive.
Thanks go out to all my friends: in Oregon, in Georgia, here in Minneapolis and those in other parts of the country. And I'm thankful for my family. Even though they drive me nuts sometimes, they're my family.
I'm thankful to have the opportunity to be out here, in this strange and wonderful place, and to continue my education. For all those times I still feel like "am I really here?" I remind myself that yes, in fact, I am, and that it's A Good Thing.
