Yes, I'm still here.....
Well, critique went pretty well, I thought. Some helpful feedback from the panel, which I will use to take the ads they liked and polish them some more for next time 'round. Nothing to go in my book yet, which is to be expected, since I'm only a first trimester student.
Had our last class at Fallon on Wednesday, pretty much just a one-on-one with the instructor, getting our grades (I got an A), and talking about Ad2, a local networking group for the 'next generation' of local creatives .... which I didn't make this month, but will try next month.
Went to the Mall of America today, to try and find a store that apparently doesn't exist there anymore. Which I think is a pretty good waste of time, if you ask me. But it wasn't an entire waste, however ... I picked up a UK Linux magazine with the full installation discs for openSUSE 10.1, which I will install on my dad's old laptop once it arrives at my doorstep. We'll see if it works. Hopefully it will breathe new life into that old laptop. It sure gave my dad crap for years... won't go into the geeky and painful details here, but it went to my sister after Dad died, and she just bought a Mac to replace it. And I think she also got BootCamp so she can still use her Windows applications. But enough geekery.
Still quite warm here .... it cooled off for a few days, but the temps are back up into the 90s. Bleh.
