Summer in the City....
I forgot how hot the Midwest can get. Got up, took a shower, put on some respectable clothes (meaning something other than my usual jeans/t-shirt combo) and headed downtown to put in an application at the Pro Staff temp agency.
While I was there filling it out (it was actually a "pre-" application, but never mind) it evidently had started raining. Something I had not prepared for. However, it was my own stupid fault for not looking at the forecast this morning before I stepped out the door. Otherwise, I would have brought my umbrella.
Anyway, after doing some business at my bank, I had lunch and thought about heading back home. By that time, the skies had cleared and the sun was out in its full glory. Which of course meant that since it had just rained, it got really humid. Which I hate.
Good thing I live in a basement apartment. It stays pretty cool down here.
