I'm bored. Time to update.
*Thursday:
Random 3-9 shift=boredom to the max.
Then I went to the movie 'Must Love Dogs' with Megan and Ellen. It was a really cute movie actually-I'll never get sick of chic flics.
After the movie we went and ate at Perkins. Megan and I both for these huge fudge brownie surpreme things that were incredibly rich, I wouldn't suggest them. We saw a bunch of random people we knew there too which was fun. We were there until around 1 am though which was late. It was fun though, and we had some good chats.
*Friday:
8 hour shift: 1-9. It was far too long, I must say. I don't know what Rocky Mt. @ the mall would do without Ashley and I. We're working more hours than the manager and we always work together. Oh yea, and this lady blew up at me out of no where when I thought she was just looking and said "can I get some help here!!??" It was so scary, and then while I was ringing her up she apologized and then went into detail about how bad her PMS is sometimes. It was awkward. Also during my shift Greg, John, Robbie, Joe, & Matt came to visit which was fun. I went to Max Orient, a.k.a. the food court, with them on my break and just chatted with them. My favorite part was when Robbie looked at Greg and said "I love when Greg looks at me." It was random but hilarious. John shared a piece of his orange chicken with me-delicious.
After work I went to Nichole's going away BBQ since she leaves on Monday already. She called me while at work to tell me Collin from Eveleth Gilbert, who I always liked, was driving down. I came and found he had to work late and didn't come, but his 2 friends, the Richards twins, were there. I had already randomly seen Mike at the mall on Sunday and talked to him for a bit but they're fun guys to know. Both of them are running for Hamline next year and are even roommates. I thought that was cute-like the odd couple or something. I didn't know any of the people at her fire really well though. I walked up and said a loud stupid "Hey guys!" only to find I barely knew anyone and no one said I word. Awkward. Ashley Ojala and I hung out though since we both came at the same time and we feasted on her leftovers together and then left shortly after. I'll miss Nichole though. :( It's so weird to think people are leaving so soon, and that my time is already 2 weeks away too. Crazy.
After Nichole's I called Sierra because she had invited me over earlier, and I went to her house. Her guy friend Kegan is up Thursday-Monday so I went and hung out with her family and him. He's a pretty cool guy, I met him once last summer too. He's only 19, but he flew over here himself because he's a pilot. We watched super troopers. I love that movie.
*Saturday:
Today I woke up a little after 12, only to realize that hey, I have to be at work in less than an hour. What a waste of a morning. I drove to work for 1:00 and it was insanely busy all day. We had so much to do, plus my manager was making apples and it was just crowded and hectic all day long. After my manager left Ashley and I went insane from so much to do. We restocked up until 10 minutes after close, which never happens and it was just, busy. I also had a bizarre experience during work. This girl came up and I went to ask if she needed help but she just wanted to talk to Ashley so I went back to whatever I was doing. They were right next to me talking and I realized it was Tyler's new girlfriend, who apparently works over at Trade Secret. For some reason I like didn't like her even before that just because she seemed too perfect, like dressed all cute and skinny and had perfect hair and skin and what not. I seriously have jealously problems against girls I don't know sometimes. All girls do though. Anyway, it was so weird to hear their conversation because it was all about Tyler and how they've been spending so much time together and how much she likes him and stuff. Then she was talking about how they're going out for his birthday and all this stuff and I realized, hey, his birthday is today. I don't know, it was just so bizarre to me to listen to this girl and think, wow, that was me exactly a year ago, except she probably didn't get him beanie weenie in a can or spiral mac and cheese for his birthday like I did last year. Looking back on that, no wonder I got dumped. Wow. I realize now it was for the best though-there's bigger and better things and people out there for me.
Then, right before close Sammy, Greg's sister came up to chat and informed me that Greg had broken his arm the night before. I then gave her all the chocolate we couldn't sell because it was either ugly or I dropped it. After work I took a carmel apple and a B52 truffle for Greg and went to his house. I found that he just sprained his elbow or something, nothing too serious but hes in this splint thing which is sort of humorous. Robbie and Joe were there too and we just hung out. After procrastinating for a while, Joe and I decided we needed to run, even though it was after 9:00. I drove home quick to change and came back and Joe and I ran on the Lakewalk. He wanted to sprint so he ran ahead and I ran alone. I ran fast though because I suddenly realized what a bad idea it was to be running alone on the Lakewalk late on a Saturday night. I started sprinting basically, mostly blindly in the pitch black parts before leif erickson, and finally caught Joe on his way back, even though I was almost at the end by then too. I ran with Joe the whole way back, even though it was completely my race pace. I felt really good though considering it was 10:00 at night and my dinner had been a toffee crunch cookie. I must've done the lakewalk in record-breaking time, way better than last time. It was fast, but it felt awesome, so I'm syked to actually race now because I feel the training plan has been paying off.
After the quick run we went back to Greg's for a bit, hung out some more, and then called it a night. I drove Robbie home and then Joe and I decided we were starving and went to McDonald's and got some food. We just did the drive through, and had to wait forever behind these 2 people who ordered enough food to feed like 2 familes. Joe got a McChicken and I got a medium order of french fries. I haven't eaten there in over a year I think, but wow did I ever crave those fries. I ate them all really fast too. They were delicious. Then I drove Joe home and came home and here I am. Good times.
Tomorrow's my first day off in a while again and I have zero plans. I hope people can hang out tomorrow, especially the people leaving in a few days. I'm sad I didn't get to spend more time with them this summer :(
I just got a letter from my roommate yesterday, since I had sent one to her with my grad picture. She sounds awesome, and she looks normal in her grad picture, which is good. We luckily love a lot of the same music and movies and stuff so I'm happy about that. We also have a similar sense of humor so yea, I'm definitely excited to move in to college with her.
That's all I guess. G'night everyone.
