Let's be cliche: Summertime and the livin's easy...
Man I love the Chili Peppers.
So I've noticed a conspicuous lacking of substantive updates lately....mainly because I'm lazy. So uhhh, a lot's happened since my last update. I guess the most important takeaway point here would be that it's summer, and summer's definitely been good times so far. If these first few weeks have been any indication of the drunken debauchery and other fun that'll occur this summer, then it's definitely gonna be a good one.
School's over, and with it, my best semester yet at Hopkins. And not just academically either (though this was by far the best I've done yet, and I managed to make the Dean's List, which is pretty fucking beast as far as I'm concerned). But this semester (and whole year) were definitely awesome. I spent a lot more time with my Hopkins friends, which was definitely awesome, except I miss those kids a lot now. Hopefully I'll be seeing some of them in the not so distant future. JHUMUNC was of course amazing as always, and I'm already looking forward to next year (hell, I was just talking about it at work yesterday with one of my co-workers, who happened to be a delegate at this year's conference). Club lax, while we basically sucked, was definitely a lot of fun. Met a lot of new people, learned some lax (I'm definitely trying to get a lot better though, that's one of my goals for this summer), had fun, and it was a decent physical activity, which is always good too.
So yeah, since I'm too lazy to actually try to remember everything that's happened in the past few weeks (not to mention to type it too), we'll just say that summer's been awesome so far...saw Can't Hang the other night with Mike and Walsh and they were amazing as always, and should be a good way to kick off the summer concert season. Steve and I got our tickets for RX Bandits the other day, so that's later this month. I'm still debating whether or not I wanna go see Taking Back Sunday and Head Automatica...I'm thinking yeah. And of course, Warped Tour is in August after we get back from Nags Head, and the lineup this year is pretty fucking sick, so I'm pumped for that. And Tuesday, I'm heading down to the beach with Katie (who's actually going down today, lucky bitch), Steve, and maybe JJ to stay until Thursday and party with all the LR and Dulaney kids who are down there for senior week. Should be good times, and I'm sure I'll have some crazy pics from that.
I'm gonna try to start updating more often, but no promises of course. We'll see. Time to start working on some internship apps and such for my semester in DC :D
