Good vibrations

This is going to be a really long post just to give people the heads up:

I am going to try and summarize what I have been up to the past few weeks, but I am going to do it in point form because I am tired...

- I had my genetics test right after Kelowna and a few days later I got the mark back. It was 74%. I have never passed a genetics midterm and the average was 71% so I was extremely happy!

-On one of the weekends I saw Harry Potter 5 in theatres. It was really good. Very dark and excellent special effects. I particularily liked how the portrayed Luna Lovegood.

- Had coffee with Amanda and Megan one night. It was really nice to catch up with them and all their crazy adventures.

- On a Friday I had my last chem midterm. I didn't really study for it because I dont care about chem anymore. I actually did better than last semester. I got 38% which is crappy, but last time I took the course I got 25% so I am in a better position for the final. Whatever...

- Last weekend I went clubbing at the Odyssey after Hairspray had sold out. I didn't really have that much fun until the end, but by that time I was just tired and angry.

- Went to see Hairspray on the Saturday. It was FANTASTIC! John travolta and Christopher Walken were amazing. So funny. It also inspired us to have a 60s party after exams wooo!

-Ok, the Harry Potter disaster. I preordered it on Amazon. Huge mistake, I wont order from them again. It was supposed to come on the day of release and I didn't get it until the tuesday afternoon. I am still not finished because I have been so busy sewing. Needless to say I sould have dressed up and gone to an opening party; a regret I will never get over.

-On Tuesday I went with Marianne and Cassandra to La Casa Gelato in Vancouver. It was amazing! Some of the flavours I tried were: Chocolate Chili- gross, Balsamic Vinegar- gross, Curry- good, Licorice- good, Lavendar- good, saffron- good, cheddar and apple- gross, and a few others.

- I had a bit of trouble registering for courses. The history course I wanted to take was full but I managed to pull some strings with the prof and got added to the class. I am really excited to take it because I have had the prof before and I really enjoy his teaching. So I am in History 315, Bisc 300 (evolution), French, and Hist 339 by distance ed, or Environmental history which I am waitlisted for. I have Thursdays off and I dont start until 12:30 on Mon and Fri with only 1 hr on Fri! Most excellent.

-The past week I spent sewing my renaissance dress for the festival. Yesterday I spent the entire day doing it, and after much frustration due to poor instructions and missing parts, I finally finished it. Pics are on facebook. The Renaissance festival wasn't as fun as I had hoped it would be, mostly because there wasn't much to do. Lisa and I walked around taking pictures, listened to some fiddling music, and watched the skits. We also watched the jousting match which didn't work very well because one of the horses was having a bad day. I was hoping one of the sexy pirate guys would take notice in me and ask me to jig or something silly like that, but no suck luck. Insead I had the pleasure of being hit on by the pita guy (old) and this really gross, weird, geeky guy who makes his own chainmail. Needless to say I was creeped out by both. But just the fact that I got to wear my costume and spend time with Lisa made the day amazing anyways.

- You might have noticed I didn't mention work. That is because I have only worked 3 shifts since I got back from Kelowna. They have been cutting my hours a lot. Boourns and yay to that because I need the money, but I like the time off.
