Six months ago ... about now, more or less, Katy called to tell me about mom.  Miss you, mommy.  If there is something after, I hope it has books, kittens and coffee.

Katy just called from Houston to tell me mom was gone.  It isn't unexpected.  She'd been on a downward slide for the past few days.  Going to go let the boss know I'll need a couple of days for making arrangements.
