They're playing My Bloody Valentine on WICB right now. They've never once played My Bloody Valentine in the 12-1/2 years I've been in Ithaca. I'm shocked, yet pleasantly surprised!

Just got back from the Yo La Tengo/Broken Social Scene show. Went with a couple friends, had a great time, forgot all about my recent troubles.

Despite the weather, I had a good weekend. Friday night mlc and I went to see Inland Empire...three hours of weirdness that make all other Lynch films seem tame in comparison (even Dune!). I loved it, but mlc hated it and thought it was nothing more than him just goofing around with a digital camera. I thought it was pretty similar to Mulholland ( Read more... )

Last night I went out with a couple friends to see Art Brut, an indie band from Britain, with Tokyo Police Club opening. Last night me and about 50 other freaks went to see Melt-Banana play at Noyes on West Campus. As I told my Japanese sensei in class this morning, "Tottemo urusakatta ga, sugo~i tanoshikatta ne~!" (It was *really* loud, but a lot of fun!) I took a few pictures, of course.
