i know a lot of you were pretty fired up about the gay marriage issue when it was in the courts in massachusetts. so now there is a proposed amendment to the us constitution to abolish gay marriage0.
if you still feel as passionately now as you did then, call Representative Marty Meehan's office. ask the receptionist the position that the Representative is taking on the amendment, and share your own (they should ask you). they'll ask you your name and address too.
his number is 978 459 0101
i called today. and the woman didn't know rep meehan's position. she said she would call me back on what it was. i bet she won't. i'll call again tomorrow.
i thought about calling senator teddy kennedy's office too, but im pretty sure i know his position. Senator Kerry (although he will only show, if the proposed amendment passes round 1) has stated that he will vote against it.
in more political news, there are talks of pushing election day back for the first time in american history due to terrorist threats. f-ed.
