Ride 'em Cowboys + Extras
I have a sneak-peek of a gay cowboy movie (OK, it’s a sendup of the upcoming Brokeback Mountain with a B/J~G/R twist) which we would like to see (or maybe not) *stifles giggle* …
Fade In: The intoxicating Wyoming landscape-a perfect day for cattle ranching or sheep herding.
Voice-over: A raw, powerful story of two cowboys …
“Hey Jack, do you have any beef jerky to suck on?”
Voice-over: … who form an unorthodox yet life-long bond--by turns ecstatic, bitter and conflicted.
“I love you, Jack.”
“I don’t believe in love. I believe in fucking sheep-God, it’s hard to find tricks around here.”
“C’mon, Jack--lasso me and brand my butt with your red hot iron! Yee-haw!”
And what about a sex-scene? It was a bit difficult to get a screencap, so here’s an excerpt from the actual screenplay:
I guess a scene like this would have made the Liberty bike ride a hell of a lot more interesting, instead of hell for Brian (and most viewers).
Just to keep you in the mood, here’s something from Annie Proulx’s book:
What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger.
They had stood that way for a long time in front of the fire, its burning tossing ruddy chunks of light, the shadow of their bodies a single column against the rock. The minutes ticked by from the round watch in Ennis's pocket, from the sticks in the fire settling into coals. Stars bit through the wavy heat layers above the fire. Ennis's breath came slow and quiet, he hummed, rocked a little in the sparklight and Jack leaned against the steady heartbeat, the vibrations of the humming like faint electricity and, standing, he fell into sleep that was not sleep but something else drowsy and tranced until Ennis, dredging up a rusty but still useable phrase from the childhood time before his mother died, said, "Time to hit the hay, cowboy. I gotta go..."
We’ll have to wait and see as to whether Jake and Heath can pull each other the movie off. Apparently there is talk of hot kissing and rough sex but they’re nowhere near as pretty as Gale/Randy. Here are some screencaps from Brokeback Mountain which is planned for limited release on 9 December 2005.
In other movie news …
Here are some [crap] screencaps of the deleted scene featuring Colin Farrell penis in A Home at the Other End of the World (which also featured Harris Allan). I think Gale’s blurry cocksock is way more exciting.
ETA Aug 2005: we get the gay rear perspective of Colin's package (but Gale has bigger balls)!
